Formed over two decades ago, the funk six-piece The Motet have learned to work as an interlocking unit, with each member bolstering one another towards the best creative output. This symbiosis has led to a unique style and cohesive musical chemistry, as seen in the band’s immaculate live performances and seamless blend of funk, soul, jazz, and rock. With a fervent fanbase in tow, The Motet have sold out shows across the nation, performed six headlining slots at Red Rocks and sets at festivals such as Bonnaroo, Bottlerock, ElectricForest, Bumbershoot, Summer Camp, and High Sierra
Dopapod stands out in the live music scene with their eclectic blend of jam band energy, funk grooves, jazz fusion, and progressive rock. Their dynamic performances and improvisational prowess have garnered a dedicated following. With the twin releases of “Aiboh” and “Phobia,” the band forges a new path in their discography, celebrating both the intricate patterns of palindromes and the expansive nature of their sonic landscape. The band – composed of Eli Winderman on keyboards, Rob Compa on guitar, Chuck Jones on bass, and Neal “Fro” Evans on drums – thrives on live improvisation and has a devoted fan base.
Perpetual Groove was founded in Savannah, GA, in 1997 before relocating in 2005 to Athens, Georgia, a town long renowned for its thriving music scene. PGroove comprises 1904 and current members: Brock Butler on guitar and lead vocals; Adam Perry on bass guitar; and Matthew McDonald on keyboards and vocals. Drummer Albert Suttle joined the band in 2001 but has announced his departure culminating with this year’s NYE show. Replacing him on drums will be Darren Stanley (Jimmy Herring, Col. Bruce Hampton).
