Started in 2009 as just a summer camp, ROC Star Academy (formerly Camp ROC Star), founded by Elvio Fernandes, singer/song writer, producer, keyboardist, vocalist, and rhythm guitarist for the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Daughtry, is now a year-round music program that provides aspiring musicians of any age with an opportunity to take individual lessons, join a band or perform as a solo artist, learn from Elvio and some of the area’s best professional musicians, and perform live concerts at clubs, festivals, and various events in front of big crowds that are ready to rock.
