ABOUT OUR KIDD AROUND INSTRUCTOR: SARAH DEWITT
We have a special guest teacher Sarah DeWitt yoga for the kids. All Classes are kid-friendly. This Event will have an extra teach geared toward a kid-centric class. We use a combination of music, games, and other activities to help children focus their minds and stretch their bodies, all while having loads of fun! Great for ages 4-10 but everyone is welcome.
I have been a certified Kidding Around Yoga instructor since 2016, teaching mostly in Honeoye NY. My passion is introducing children to yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. I love sharing tools to help kids feel more confident, build strength and flexibility, increase focus and concentration, and manage stress.
Post-event Lincoln Hill Farms is open to enjoy live music, good eats, and craft beverage selection. Stay and hang and bring the whole family.
ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR: LINDSAY REA
My yoga practice began in 2009, where, like many yogis, I was introduced to the popular style of vinyasa (flow) yoga. After about 5 years of on and off practice, my love for yoga began to grow into a desire to expand from the physical practice, and learn the deeper teachings that yoga has to offer. It was then that I was introduced to the practice of Ashtanga yoga. A style that pulls the lessons gained from practice on the mat, and teaches how to integrate those lessons into daily life.
After 2 years of apprenticing in an ashtanga & vinyasa studio, I gained a 200-hour certification in 2015. It was there, that I was also introduced to various styles of yoga such as yin, restorative, gentle, chair and special populations yoga from teachers influenced by Beryl Bender Birch, David Swenson, Baron Baptiste, Bernie Clark, and Judith Lasater.
Yoga can be whatever you wish it to be. To gain flexibility and strength, or to obtain compassion, acceptance, and equanimity. Maybe a combination of all of the above. Yoga is a gift to the self. It’s my honor and my pleasure to share with you the many treasures that yoga has provided.
